The Parish of Kyneton

The parish consists of St Paul's in Kyneton and St John's in Malmsbury - two of the oldest and most beautiful churches collectively, in Victoria. Both are bluestone and in service.

These churches are part of the first Bishop of Melbourne's dream - to have a church established one days walk from each other, so that on a walk to the Bendigo goldfields a man would be in touch with the church each and every day.

The first service was held in temporary digs in 1851 in Kyneton - and we have been serving the community ever since.
