The Parish of Kyneton

The parish consists of St Paul's in Kyneton, St John's in Malmsbury and Holy Trinity in Taradale - probably three of the oldest and most beautiful churches collectively, in Victoria. All are bluestone and all are in service.

These three churches are part of the first Bishop of Melbourne's dream - to have a church established one days walk from each other, so that on a walk to the Bendigo goldfields a man would be in touch with the church each and every day.

The first service was held in temporary digs in 1851 in Kyneton - we have been serving the community ever since.
