Pakistan is experiencing the worst floods in 80 years which have so far killed an estimated 1400 people and affected at least one million people since flash floods severely hit three districts of Balochistan. The people of Balochistan have been left largely forgotten as government departments, media and aid agencies focus on northern areas of the country.Pakistan’s weather service has now forecast widespread rain in the next four days in northeast Balochistan, among other areas, to continue. One of many problems that the country is experiencing is that much of Pakistan's western province of Balochistan - mountainous, poor and the least populated of the country's provinces - is largely falling under the relief radar. Although government-dispatched helicopters have delivered food, water and medicines to otherwise inaccessible areas of Pakistan, that aid was insufficient. Entire Balochistan villages are submerged and hundreds of houses have been washed away.
So what can we do here in the middle of Victoria?
The simple answer is that you can help with a financial contribution. The Anglican Parish of Kyneton has started a fund to help the victims of the Pakistan flood disaster. You can help by making a donation at any one of the three churches (St Paul’s Kyneton, St John’s Malmsbury, or Holy Trinity Taradale) either by cheque or cash. You can help by organising fund-raising at your local school or community group and forwarding the funds to the Anglican church office – PO Box 887 Kyneton. The funds will be forwarded, in full, to the Church World Service in Pakistan which has so far distributed 500 food and shelter kits in Balochistan, Dera Ismail Khan and Khyber Paktunkwa provinces, with 750 more kits being dispatched. However, the need is much greater.

The date 1st of August is an important one if you are a horse - it is the official birthday of all horses, all round the world. At the Kyneton Pony Club the celebration was particualrly important this year as Fr Tony White officiated at the first "Blessing of the Horses" held at the Club.
In driving rain and wind, the riders and their mounts lined up for the blessing and the cupcakes (for the riders) and the carrots handed out by Fr Tony.

The year still has 3 months to go and we are still finalising events for the remainder of the year - so mark them down in your diary.
3 October is St Francis Day
Well it is close enough. Continuing with the animal theme (well we are a country parish afterall) we will be blessing the animals in St Pauls Park (in Piper Street) at 11.30 am with a morning tea to follow.
31 October is All Saints&All Souls Day
This year we are combining the two special days in the churchs calendar into one - it will be the only service in the Parish and it will be marked by a lunch after the service for all memebers of the parish. You are cordially invited, and if you would like to join us then please contact the Rector, Fr Tony White on 0429 320903
20 November we are celelbrating a special Evensong at St Pauls
If you remember how sublime an Evensong service was, then this one will knock your socks off. The Friends of Anglican Music ( a group comitted to the musical beauty of the Evensong Service) will join us in this special parish event at St Paul's. It will be a magical event!

Sunday 12 September 2010
We would especially love to see you on this Sunday at either Holy Trinity Taradale (Davy Street) at the 8 am service or at St Paul's Kyneton (cnr Powlett & Yaldwin Streets) at the 10 am service to celebrate this day. It is a chance for you to relive all the great and good things that you remember about going to church and if you cannot remember the positive things about being in church, then it is definitely time to come back to remember the good times.
As a special added attraction this service forms part of Kyneton's Daffodil Festival, with the King & Queen in attendance - and to mark the significance of the event the Bishop of Bendigo, Andrew Curnow will officiate at the 10 am service in Kyneton.
