Gisborne singers perform at St Paul's

St Paul’s Kyneton was given a memorable Easter present this year – a performance by the Gisborne Singers, supported by an orchestra, with two soloists in a breathtaking performance of Faure’s Requiem.    As a stand alone piece this is a fairly arduous piece to perform and perform it they did.  In addition to this they opened with John Rutter’s The Lord bless you and keep you which had one member of the audience in tears – it was truly beautifully handled.  If that was not enough there were five other pieces before the orchestra performed the Brandenburg Concerto No 6.

Needless to say the choir and orchestra together with the two soloists Jocelyn Hickey (soprano) and baritone Anthony Mackey, under the baton of Stephen Brockman were given a rousing and well earned thankyou by the audience.
